A LITTLE ABOUT THE PRODUCER: KRUSHPROOF MUZIK
Always surrounded by music, Carlton ‘Dj Krush’ Marchall was influenced by his older brother who played on a sound system and from many of the soundmen who were always in close proximity. Consumed by his love for music and the artistry of the selectors he would often sneak out from home to watch, he started out formally in (put year here) with good friends, Tarik Munroe, Richard Pusey (who now owns his Kingston All Stars Sound) and Supa Hype (who now owns his 007 Sound) forming ESSENCE SOUND.
Having played at many of the top events in Jamaica such as RELOADED featuring Ludacris, FULLY LOADED featuring Ashanti, Ja Rule, SPLURT, ISH featuring Peter Gunz, Lord Tario, makin numerous radio appearances on Fame 95 80’S – 90’S Club and Mega Jamz 70’s – 80s show and blasting many a club speakers, he went a step further and put his skills to test in the Red Label Mix Masters In Motion Competition in 2002 copping the Runner Up position.
Then in (put year here), after having worked under the tutelage of renowned Reggae & Dancehall Engineer Errol Brown, Mr Shaun of Coppershot Sound, Dr Marshall (who mixed on Shaggy’s Boombastic Album) and world travelled Mixing Engineer Tixie for Anthony B, Sizzla and many others, he decided to venture into music production.
Armed with that exposure, a solid background in IT and a comprehensive knowledge of Pro Tools, Nuendo, Acid, Sound Forge and Wave Lab, he has since his first music production, The Derun Riddim gone on to produce The Tropical Flava, Chiney Flava & GetWet Riddim and many singles for various artistes including Khago (now signed by LIME, one of the major cellular providers in the Caribbean), RDX, Rhugu, Magazeen (signed by MMG), Cecile, I Octane (signed by DIGICEL, the other major cellular provider in the Caribbean), Mpho (South African Artiste for EMI), Chico, and many more. He also has production credits on Delly Ranx’s GOOD PROFILE album, the Soundtrack for the movie Dance for Grace and even had one of his productions featured on the Itunes Reggae page for the US and UK for 8 weeks. Light It Up by Khago and Treson, another of his productions was nominated was the Marijuana Awards in Austrailia.
