Christopher Martin Rocks the Crowd at New York Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival

 

International, young, hip and soulful reggae crooner Christopher Martin rocked the crowd at this years Grace Jamaican Jerk Festival at Roy Wilkins Park in Queens, New York.
Christopher Martin entered the stage to a warm welcome from the over 10,000 people in attendance inside Roy Wilkins, Queens.  The family filled event with headliners Shaggy and Fab 5 was ready and waiting to see Christopher Martin.

Entering the stage to screaming female fans Christopher Martin wasted no time to take the audience on a musical journey.  With a forty-five minutes performance set, Christopher Martin was able to please the audience with songs like Paper Loving, Chill Spot and Buss a Blank.

Christopher Martin dedicated a song to one of the most influential persons in his life “Mama Cheeny”. The song titled ‘Buss-A-Blank’ received at least 3 forwards from the crowd who response to Christopher Martin’s request to “Buss a Blank fi You Mama” was thunderous.  Another high moment of his performance was giving the crowd his rendition of Marvin Gaye “Sexual Healing”.

It was evident that the crowd came to see and hear Christopher Martin sing his hit single “Cheaters Prayer”.  As the band began to play the instrumental for his hit single “Cheaters’ Prayer”, the crowd immediately began singing “Its not the first nor the last, so much pretty girls a pass,” and the rest was history.
It was a great show and the fans came out in numbers, I’m happy to be a part of this great festival and big up VP records and everyone who considered Christopher Martin for being a part of this years festival” says Christopher Martin.

TARRUS RILEY SET FOR REGGAE IN THE PARK

 International reggae star Tarrus Riley is set to take the stage at this years second annual staging of Reggae in the Park.

 

Tarrus Riley the son of reggae singer Jimmy Riley, is known for his smooth tenor vocal style, and great writing skills, which seems to always drive home a hit single. With a strong Rastafarian consciousness, Tarrus Riley sends a message of love in his music, which resonates with all ages, all demographics and all lovers of music.

 

With a slew of hit singles like “She’s Royal” “Superman”, “Parables”, “Good Girl Gone Bad”, which he voiced with fellow international recording artist Konshens and more recently “Gimme Likkle One Drop.” It is evident that on Sunday, August 4th ,Tarrus Riley will have the  Reggae in the Park crowd jamming, skanking and rocking to the sweet sweet reggae music he is so well known for delivering.

Known for also being able to deliver a remarkable performance with the accompaniment of Black Soil Band, Reggae in the Park patrons are sure to enjoy themselves. Tarrus Riley knows how to command the audience and get the crowd involved with a question and response type performance, which usually results in the crowd responding in unison and singing along. Not too many artist can execute this type of energetic, crowd involvement performance. On Sunday, August 4th it is guaranteed that fans and lovers of reggae music will leave The Mann Center satisfied and pleased with more than “Just Likkle One Drop”.
